Have you opened a commercial or PDF pattern and wondered what am I supposed to do with this?  After looking at all the tissue paper pieces, asked yourself what are the directions telling me to do?  How are you to create the pretty outfit on the cover of the pattern out of this? 

In this class we will dispel the mystery.  You will even learn a great way to store your commercial or PDF pattern once you get it out of the envelope.  

This is one of the Beginner patterns.  This is a class we strongly suggest all students take before sewing a garment.  Please bring a commercial or PDF pattern you might be thinking of sewing next.  If time allows we will have open questions time.  

Students will learn:

• How to read a commercial pattern
• What kind of fabric to use
• Take your measurements (wearing fitted clothes)
• Learn your pattern size based on your measurements
• How to cut & pin a pattern
• How to transfer pattern markings
