Ready to turn old jeans into something totally new and uniquely you?
In Thrift to Flip! Upcycled Denim Edition, students will learn creative techniques to transform pre-loved denim into custom pieces that are functional, stylish, and sustainable. Whether you're upcycling old jeans from your own closet or a thrifted pair, this six-week journey blends fashion, sewing, and eco-conscious fun.
Taught in a friendly, small-group setting, this class is perfect for students with a passion for fashion, sewing, or DIY. Over six weeks, students will deconstruct, reimagine, and rework denim into a wearable project like a skirt, top, vest, or patchwork piece. At the end of the course students will participate in a showcase where they can show off their one-of-a-kind outfits to their family and friends!
Students must already be comfortable using a sewing machine. Not quite there yet? Take our Thrift to Flip! Prep Workshop (1-day, 2-hour session) offered prior to the start of the class, where students will learn to operate a sewing machine and if time allows make a project.
