Block to Project Workshop

You've completed your quilt block, now what?

Transform your quilt block into a beautiful finished project in our Block to Project Workshop! Choose between creating a decorative pillow cover or a functional tote bag while building your sewing skills and confidence.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn finishing techniques, construction methods, and tips for incorporating quilt blocks into everyday projects. Whether you're creating a custom home décor piece or a one-of-a-kind tote, you'll leave with a completed project and inspiration for future quilting adventures.

Students may bring their completed quilt block from our First Block: Introduction to Quilting Workshop or another finished quilt block of 12 x 12 or similar size. 

What You’ll Learn

  • Project planning and layout
  • Basic finishing techniques
  • Construction methods for pillow or tote.
  • Pressing and assembly techniques
  • Tips to incorporating quilt block into future projects.
     

Choose your project

  • Pillow Cover or Tote Bag
  • Students provide project materials. 
  • Optional project kits are available for purchase and include all required fabrics and notions needed to complete your selected project
  • Each student will receive a take-home instruction guide to recreate the project again at home.

  • Adults | Beginner-friendly
  • Small group setting
  • Prerequisite:  Completion of First Block Quilting Workshop or equivalent quilt block construction experience.

 

Leave class with a finished project and new ideas for turning future quilt blocks into functional and beautiful creations.
