Pre-requisite: Sewing School Basics, Understanding patterns or equivalent knowledge
Class length; 4 hours
Great beginner project, building skills and sewing confidence.
Learn & Sew a pair of comfy lounge pants/pj pants.
Skills Learned:
- How to construct a pair of pants.
- How to sew seams and finish them
- Learn to sew a elastic casing
- Learn to hem/finish the pants
*Precut Pattern provided for class use so students can focus on creating the garment.
Supplies needed: Simplicity Pattern S8519. (We will have a pattern already cut out in various sizes for class use), 3 yards of cotton or flannel 45" width Fabric (non-stretch fabric), at least 2 yds of 1" wide of Non-roll Woven Elastic thread, Sewing Notions (fabric scissors, straight pins, measuring gauge, measuring tape, thread & bobbin, seam ripper, dressmaker pencil or marker, safety pin)
